Gallup StrengthsFinder is a list of 34 Strengths. Each time a person takes it, they receive their top 5 of the 34 Strengths. Although one receives just the top 5, the gap between #5 and the next several Strengths could be negligible. Because I have taken the instrument multiple times over the years in various team-building retreats, I am sharing 9 of the Strengths which have emerged in one or more of the top 5 results I received. I am not trying to brag because anyone who took it several times would likely end up with ~9 strengths. If anything, I want you to identify more than just your top 5!
ACHIEVER – People exceptionally talented in the Achiever theme work hard and possess a great deal of stamina. They take immense satisfaction in being busy and productive.
ANALYTICAL – People exceptionally talented in the Analytical theme search for reasons and causes. They have the ability to think about all the factors that might affect a situation.
COMPETITION – People exceptionally talented in this theme measure their progress against the performance of others. They strive to win first place and revel in contests.
CONNECTEDNESS – People exceptionally talented in the Connectedness theme have faith in the links among all things. They believe there are few coincidences and that almost every event has meaning.
CONTEXT – People with this theme look back in time to observe the patterns of thinking and decision making, making observations and remembering how people reacted and what people did.
DISCIPLINE – People exceptionally talented in the Discipline theme enjoy routine and structure. Their world is best described by the order they create.
FOCUS – People exceptionally talented in the Focus theme can take a direction, follow through, and make the corrections necessary to stay on track. They prioritize, then act.
LEARNER – People exceptionally talented in this theme have a great desire to learn and want to continuously improve. The process of learning, rather than the outcome, excites them.
SIGNIFICANCE – People with this theme have a strong desire to make a difference, to live a life that influences other people, to invest themselves in people and causes that will have a lasting impact.
