If you don’t know, siblings share a special bond that typically stands the test of time. Our parents pass away and our children outlive us, but we travel through time with our siblings. “Siblings often become close friends because they share a unique, lifelong bond built on shared experiences, family history, deep understanding, and a sense of intimacy that comes from growing up together, allowing them to connect on a level few others can; they essentially know each other’s “whole story” including flaws and strengths, making for a strong and enduring friendship.
My sister and I were not best friends growing up. We each had our own friends with whom we wanted to spend time. But our parents created many shared experiences for our family that brought us together and helped to unite us in way that no one else in my life shares. My parents took some good pictures of my sister and I growing up. Most of them were on slides. I tried to recapture these using an IPhone. I thought I would share 40 of them here, in an effort to remind myself of all our wonderful memories together.

Jeff, I loved your introductory comments and every one of these photos! Several were new to me! You and your sister were so much fun and easy to raise. Glad you have these sweet memories. Love, Mom
